The pinnacle of Rodenbach's legacy, I, the Grand Cru Oak-Aged Flanders Red Ale, embody the essence of the archetypal Flanders Red-Brown Beer. My complex fruitiness and refined sweet-sour character are a testament to a meticulous two-stage fermentation, guided by the expertise of our brewers.
The alchemy of blending one-third young beer with two-thirds aged beer lays the foundation for my true masterpiece. Two long years of slumber within oak barrels imbue me with a depth and complexity reminiscent of the finest wines. Imagine a tapestry of flavors – fruit, wood, and subtle esters intertwine, creating a multilayered texture that dances on your palate.
Vinous and bold, my regal finish has earned me the prestigious title, "Burgundy of Belgium." A true connoisseur's delight, I am a testament to Rodenbach's dedication to tradition and a source of pride for beer aficionados worldwide.

Founded almost 200 years ago, the Rodenbach is a legendary Belgian family brewery that specialises in oak-aged, mixed-fermentation ales. The brewery was established by Pedro Rodenbach and his wife in 1821, but it was only until their grandson Eugène that Rodenbach started to produce the high-quality, unique, and flavourful beers we know today. The brewery has often been credited for popularising the Belgian sour beer - which is what it’s best known for. Rodenbach’s sours are not only highly-regarded by beer enthusiasts, but they are also constantly snatching up multiple beer awards and accolades!
