Howdy y'all! Ah reckon I'm Shiner Bock, brewed by the oldest dang independent brewery in the whole darn state of Texas. They been callin' me a "Country Classic" since 1913, 'cause I'm the "Shinin' Star of Texas."
Now, listen up, my story goes way back when them German and Czech folks brought their brewin' traditions to this here Lone Star State. They settled in a little ol' town called Shiner and started makin' beers true to their homeland. Fast forward a few decades, and the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas, began brewin' me.
I'm made with the richest roasted barley malts you'll find 'round these parts. That gives me a tanned-copper pour and a subtly sweet profile. Folks all across this great state of Texas can't get enough of me. They love sippin' me at a backyard BBQ, watchin' the big game, or just sittin' on the porch with their buddies.
I'm a refreshin' and downright easy-to-drink dark lager that's hard not to enjoy. So, whether you're a true-blue Texan or just a fan of good beer, grab yourself a cold Shiner Bock. Let me take ya on a lil' journey to the heart of Texas brewin' tradition. Cheers, y'all!

Spoetzl Brewery, one of the oldest independent breweries in the US, is the shining star of Texas. The brewery is founded in 1909 by German and Czech immigrants who settled in Texas and decided to brew their own beers when they were unable to find the type of beer that had known and loved in their home countries. Spoetzl produced many other fine beers, but Shiner Bock, which is first brewed in 1913, is the best-known of the lot and over the years, has developed a loyal fan base that stretched across the whole of America.
Hahaha just here to second the opinions about Shawn and his 1star review. I met Shawn once as well and I agree he was fairly negative. I’m a psychologist so I’m blaming his parents here. I made an account just to point out that ‘1 Star Bland Man’ is clearly a soulless being that resides under a bridge. I met 1 Star Bland Man once - very unimpressive. Spoke in single word sentences and was very negative all the time. Clearly he’s never once experienced the joy and agony of falling deeply, madly in love with someone, only to be forced to leave them. I can also assure you that this man has also never experienced the ******** emotional release one experiences when they’re finally reunited with that person after years and years apart from each other. BECAUSE THATS HOW I FEEL ABOUT SHINER BOCK. Twenty years ago, I fell truly madly deeply in love with Shiner Bock. It was a brief but passionate affair and I’ve thought about Shiner Bock daily ever since. On especially lonely nights I’d fine myself desperately trying other beers, only to find them a shallow representation of what a true beer really is. On these lonely nights I’d just drift away from my life and I’d always break down and google Shiner Bock, undoubtedly clicking then ‘images’ tab to see pictures of other people enjoying it. Lots of people. It was hard. I knew my one true love was gone forever, and all that remained was fading memories. Until I found this website. Once you’ve experienced true love mister 1 Star Bland Man, you keep my loves name out of your mouth. Do better.
Lovely light Beer but style should be an Amber Lager, the Bock in labeling is a misstatement, it is in no way a bock

We thought we wouldn't be able to get our beloved hometown beer after we moved to Singapore but Thirsty proved us wrong! Price isn't as cheap as it is back home but I guess its largely due to Singapore's steep alcohol tax. Still, we were so happy to find Shiner here!!!
