Dupont’s flagship beer is the Saison Dupont - a classic Belgian seasonal ale that was first brewed in 1844 and is now a world-class example of the Belgian Saisons style. In fact, in 2015, the Men's Journal Magazine claimed that the Saison Dupont was “The Best Beer In The World”!
The Belgian Saison is an increasingly rare specialty beer that originated before the convenient age of refrigeration and was created to quench the thirst of seasonal farm workers. This unique beer style required durability, as the beer needed to be sturdy enough to age in the bottle throughout winter, but it also needed to be refreshing, so that it can be enjoyed in the hot summer days.
As such, the name “Saison” - which means “season” in French - perfectly encapsulates the beer’s characteristics. Dupont’s delicious blonde ale is the perfect example, as it is marked by alluring fragrances of grapefruit and cloves, has a clean, refreshing body, and a dense head.
In 1990, Marc Rosier was known as Belgium’s pioneer of organic beers with the release of the Moinette Biologique and the Saison Biologique. From then on, Dupont’s range continued to expand with the Bière de Miel Biologique, the Biolégère, and the Blanche du Hainaut Biologique.
