Step into the shadows, my intrepid explorers of flavor. I am Alesmith Speedway Imperial Stout, the embodiment of decadence and one of the most sought-after beers in the world.
Cast your gaze upon my pitch-black appearance, a hauntingly beautiful sight that has become my signature. Prepare yourself for an experience that delves deep into the realm of chocolate and roasted malts, unveiling whispers of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel with every sip. But that's not all—I have a secret weapon that will ignite your senses. Locally-roasted coffee, carefully added to each batch, brings forth the captivating dance of dark chocolate flavors, leaving you spellbound. Despite my intensity, fear not, for my fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel bestow upon me a remarkable smoothness, making me surprisingly easy to drink.
The beauty of the Alesmith Speedway Stout is that it ages gracefully, maturing like a true connoisseur over the years. Such is my reputation that I've garnered multiple awards, establishing myself as one of the world's finest stouts.
When it comes to food, I am a generous companion, harmonizing beautifully with rich beef dishes and char-grilled delights. Indulge in the decadence of chocolate or vanilla desserts alongside me, or venture into the realm of salty blue cheeses and aged Gouda. Unleash your culinary imagination and savor the captivating flavors that unfold with each sip of Alesmith Speedway Imperial Stout.

It all started with one fateful road trip; In 1989, Skip Virgilio embarked on a valiant journey to the Pacific Northwest where he fell in love with craft beer. Inspired by his newfound love, Virgilio started a hobby in homebrewing and founded AleSmith soon after. Back then, the company was terribly small, both in manpower and in production levels. However, in 2002, AleSmith was handed over to Peter Zien, who holds the honourable title of Grandmaster Beer Judge from the Beer Judge Certification Program and was rated the #1 Top Brewer in the World in 2006 and 2013! Under Zien’s capable hands, AleSmith grew into one of the top breweries in the world with multiple awards to show for it.
